Here are the details for our first combined SUP Yoga/Pilates/Fitness courses
With so much overlap between the three disciplines, we've decided to combine the three, with specialist break-away groups during the course to deliver exactly what you need as an existing (or trainee) Yoga, Pilates and/or Fitness Professional.
No of hours: 16hrs (2 days)
Price: £295
Suitable for: Qualified Yoga/Pilates/Fitness professionals, employed as a (freelance or staff) instructor by a swimming pool / lido / activity / watersports centre (or equivalent)
Pre requisites with evidence:
Professional Yoga/Pilates/Fitness qualification (or currently working towards one)
20hr SUP experience
10+10hr SUP yoga/pilates/fitnss practice (which can include self-practice)
Qualified to teach:
On protected or non-tidal waters no more than 50m from shore or within a recognised swimming pool/watersports/activity centre in the presence of a
SUP instructor, and either a
lifeguard, or
safety boat
No of hours: 16hrs (2 days)
Price: £295
Suitable for: Qualified 200hr Yoga/Pilates/Fitness professionals, self employed OR employed either freelance or PAYE as an instructor by a swimming pool / lido / activity / watersports centre (or equivalent)
Pre requisites with evidence:
200hr Yoga/Pilates/Fitness*** qualification (or currently working towards one)
30hr SUP experience
10+10hr SUP yoga/pilates practice (which can include self-practice)~
SUP Instructor Level 1 qualification**
First Aid qualification*
Water Safety Rescue qualification*
Qualified to teach:
Covers all Level 1 & Level 2 sites, plus independently on enclosed or protected open water no more than 50m from shore or within a recognised swimming pool / watersports /activity centre
* Covered in most SUP Level 1 Instructor courses
** We recommend you qualify as a SUP Instructor in advance of this course, however you do have 12 months post-course to achieve your SUP instructor certificate, at which point your Lv 3 SUP Yoga/Pilates/Fitness teacher certificate will be issued.
*** For Level 3 SUP Fitness, you must hold a Personal Trainer qualification. As a minimum, this is a qualification that allows you to teach clients one-to-one or in groups in an unsupervised setting (including outdoor sessions). Ie REPS/CIMSPA Level 2.
~ 10hrs must be evidenced to attend the course. Remaining 10hrs can completed post-course and must be relevant to your intended teaching environment at which point your certificate will be issued.
No of hours: 8hrs (1 day)
Price: £165, or £125 for SUPTA SUP Yoga/SUP Pilates Instructors
Suitable for: Qualified SUP Yoga / SUP Pilates Teachers.
Pre-requisites: You must hold a Personal Trainer qualification. As a minimum, this is a qualification that allows you to teach clients one-to-one or in groups in an unsupervised setting (including outdoor sessions). Ie REPS/CIMSPA Level 2.
A Fitness Instructor qualification that only allows you to teach in a gym in group sessions is not sufficient.
Qualified to teach: As 'Level 2' or 'Level 3' above, depending on which pre-requisites you meet.
